Uitgangspunt voor deze illustratie was en practical joke van mijn opdrachtgever aan degene die deze aquarel zou krijgen bij zijn afscheid bij Shell. Ik kreeg dit voorbeeld als vertrekpunt en ben gaan zoeken naar de wapens van Cambridge, Oxford en het logo van Shell op internet.

Verder gewoon veel je fantasie laten gaan en tekenen. De aquarel-techniek wordt vaak toegepast in illustraties voor kinderboeken.

A startingpoint for this illustration was a proctical joke from my client to a friend who was retiring from his job at Shell. I recieived this illustration as a starting point and went browsing on the internet for the coat of arms of Cambridge, Oxford and the logo of Shell.

And furthermore just let my fantasy run and draw. The watercolour technique is often used in illustrations for childrens books.
